Ms Nicola Callender
Principal Podiatrist & Clinical DirectorOur podiatrist, Nicola, brings a passion, unique skillset and diverse knowledge base to Enable Podiatry. Since obtaining her Bachelor of Podiatry degree from the University of Newcastle, Nicola set a course of gaining experience and expertise across a variety of settings.
Nicola has a passion and keen interest in diabetes and the management of the high-risk foot. This interest has been nurtured through appointment within multiple high-risk foot departments across Sydney and Newcastle. Nicola has been fortunate to work alongside some of Australia’s pioneers in diabetes, vascular intervention and orthopaedic surgery.
By incorporating evidence-based practices into her treatment plans this allows Nicola to ensure the best care is delivered to her patients each and every time.
Professional development is critical in maintaining currency within healthcare, Nicola holds additional qualifications in dermatology, dermoscopy, dry needling, advanced wound management and dementia prevention. Nicola has also undertaken post graduate study in pharmacology via La Trobe University. This qualification is part of the requirements to obtain endorsement for prescribing scheduled medicines within Australia.Qualifications:
